Salsa, Sabor, Y Salud, translated to Sauce, Flavor, and Health, is a culture-based program developed by the National Latino Children's Institute ( NLCI ) in collaboration with Kraft Foods 
Corporate Contributions. The CYO recently was awarded a $25,000.00 Grant from Kraft Foods for the second consecutive year to operate the Program.
CYO staff members have been trained in cities throughout the Country to conduct this Program. The Program operates on Tuesday nights from 7:00pm - 8:00pm at the CYO Center located at 920 South Broad St. in Trenton. The CYO operates three 8 week sessions between September and May. Classes consist of exercise, dancing, and fitness and nutrition awareness. At the end of each 8 week session all participants that successfully completed the Program will receive a $25.00 gift certificate to Shop Rite.
The Program's goals are to assist Latino families with children under 12 years of age in increasing their awareness of fitness and nutrition issues and improving habits leading to a healthy lifestyle.
