3rd Hall of Fame Coming in the Fall 0f 2008!
Established in November 2004 after 52 years of Grammar School Basketball in Mercer County, the CYO Basketball Hall of Fame is proud to have 47 members in 4 separate categories after completing its second class in inductions in February 2007. The categories include Male Players, Female Players, Coaches, and Referee Divisions. The first two Hall of Fame Dinners and Awards Banquets have produced hug turnouts and special Guest Speakers, including Phil Martelli, Head Men’s Basketball Coach at St. Joseph’s University, and John Castaldo, Head Men’s Basketball Coach at The College of New Jersey.
Over the last 54 season the CYO has graduated over 40,000 players, has had over 5,000 volunteer coaches, and over 1,000 officials work our games. The current inductees simply are the best of the best. Considered the premiere youth basketball league in Mercer County and one of the top throughout New Jersey, the CYO decided to honor its top stars with Hall of Fame status.
The next Basketball Hall of Fame is scheduled to take place in the Fall of 2008.
